What is CollabWav?
CollabWav is an online platform where musicians find other musicians to work with. You post a request describing the part you need, and people who want to help reply with a message and a sample.
CollabWav in one paragraph
CollabWav is an online music collaboration platform built around requests. Each request states the role that is needed (for example vocalist, drummer, producer or mixing engineer), the genre, whether the work is remote or local, a link to the track, and how the work will be compensated. Other musicians respond to the request directly, the poster chooses who to work with, and the two continue in private messages. It is free to join, and there are 285 open requests on the site right now.
How it works
Post a request
Choose the role, genre, remote or local, and add an audio link, a deadline and the terms you are offering.
Get responses
Musicians reply with a message and a sample. Every response to your request is collected in one place.
Accept and make music
Accept the collaborator you want, message each other, and finish the track together.
You can also browse every open request without an account, search by role or keyword, save requests for later, and respond to the ones that fit you once you have joined.

How CollabWav is different from musician forums and social networks
| CollabWav | General forums and social networks | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Built only for finding music collaborators | Built for general discussion or sharing |
| A post | A structured request: role, genre, remote or local, deadline, audio link, terms | Free-form text that is easy to miss or to misread |
| Compensation | Stated on every request: paid, split or royalty, credit, trade, free or negotiable | Often left unsaid until late in the conversation |
| Responses | Collected under the request, with a message and a sample, and you accept or decline each one | Spread across comments and direct messages |
| Who you are talking to | Artist profiles with roles, genres, bio and a featured track | Varies by platform |
| Finding it later | Search and filter by role, genre and keyword | Posts scroll away |
What CollabWav is not
CollabWav does not process payments, hold money or enforce agreements between members. It connects you with other musicians, and any payment, credit or royalty split is agreed and handled directly between you. Read the tips on Artist Resources and our Terms before you start a project.
