Privacy Policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

This policy explains what personal information CollabWav collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.

1. What we collect

We do not collect payment card or bank details. CollabWav does not process payments.

2. How we use it

3. What other people can see

Open requests are public. That includes your username, the request text, any audio link and terms you add. Please do not put private information in a request. Your artist profile (username, headline, bio, roles, genres, location, links and featured track) is visible to logged-in members, and you decide what to add to it. Messages are visible only to the sender and recipient, except as described in section 5.

Audio samples. If you attach an audio sample to a request, anyone who can see that request can play it, including visitors who are not logged in. Samples you attach to a reply can be played by the member who owns the request. You can remove a sample at any time by editing your request.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Audio links you add may point to third-party sites such as SoundCloud or YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

5. Messages and moderation

Messages are not publicly displayed. Site administrators may view a message if it is reported, or if needed to investigate abuse, a copyright complaint or a legal request.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, requests and saved items, and messages are removed or anonymised, except what we must keep for legal reasons or to deal with a dispute or abuse (for example records of a copyright notice). Backups and logs are deleted on a regular cycle.

7. Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile, close or edit your requests, and change your cookie choices at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, to object to or restrict some uses, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email hello@collabwav.com. We may need to confirm it is you.

8. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, forms are protected against forgery, and access to data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

CollabWav is not for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your country, if higher). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International use

The site may be hosted in a country different from yours, so your information may be processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

11. Changes

If we make a significant change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you on the site or by email.

12. Contact

Questions or requests: hello@collabwav.com.
